Up to 90% of all women have cellulite. It is a natural occurrence, where fat cenlls permeate through the connective tissue. Cellulite is commonly caused by hormone imbalance, poor circulatory system, sluggish lymphatic system or dehydration.
At Beauty on Boronia Hair Laser Clinic, we help treat cellulite by using a combination of our state of the art technologies; cavitation, radio frequency and ND Yag Laser.
The combined treatments result in the breakdown of fat, coupled with improving skin tone by smoothing out the distribution of fat between the body’s connective tissue. Want to learn more about our Cellulite Treatment.
Cavitation is a natural phenomenon based on low frequency ultrasound. The ultrasound produces a strong wave of pressure to the fat cell membranes. A fat cell membrane cannot withstand this pressure and therefore disintegrates into a liquid state. The result is natural fat loss.
Cavitation is effective for both the use of fat reduction and cellulite treatments.
Radio frequency energy penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue. The local heating causes an immediate contraction of collagen fibres, as well as the production of new collagen and elastin fibres.
The regeneration of the collagen and elastin deposits help to prevent the future permeation of fat cells within that area, as the skin layers tighten to create a smoother, healthier and younger looking skin.
Radio Frequency is effective for the use of cellulite treatments, skin tightening and anti-ageing.

Skin Tightening

Have you noticed that your skin feels less firm? Perhaps you are now noticing the first signs of ageing. Let us turn the clock back for you with GentleYag Laser latest technology of Skin Tightening. This revolutionary new treatment works quickly with amazing results. The treatment delivers deep heat energy to the skin heating the deeper layers whilst leaving the upper layers intact. This tightens the collagen fibres that make up a large portion of the skin tissue, aiding in firming the skin.

The technique also stimulates the production of new collagen cells thus plumping the surface of the skin whilst reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Your skin will have a younger looking appearance fuelled by an increase of collagen in the tissues. With a smoother appearance your skin will be stronger, plumper and as a result, more resilient.
There is no need for anaesthetic during treatment and only a slight to moderate discomfort will be felt (a by-product of the heat generated in the dermis).
The technology can be used on the face (including around the eye area) and body such as the stomach, legs and arms. Whilst a change in your skin is noticed immediately The treatment has progressive results with improvement up to six months after final treatment.
Look younger today and reverse the effects of aging with Beauty on Boronia Nd:YAG Laser Skin Tightening technology!
To maximize the investment you are making in your skin, we recommend both before and after skin care regimes using the SkinCeutical range.
SkinCeuticals is advanced skincare backed by scientific evidence. It compliments any laser treatment or can be simply used on its own.
The advantage of the GentleYag laser is that it provides the benefits of skin tightening and wrinkle reduction comfortably, with no downtime, less expensively and with a much improved side effect profile. For patients with significant laxity of the skin, surgery may be the best option, and this should be determined at time of consultation.

We are pleased to offer a revolutionary new laser treatment that can quickly and safely eliminate unsightly leg veins, spider veins and broken capillaries up to 3mm in diameter.

Our advanced technology minimizes the redness and bruising normally associated with traditional treatments. Best of all, our technology allows us to treat people of any ethnic origin and skin type including tanned skin.

The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in your blood and collapses the unwanted vein.

The light of the laser is selectively absorbed by blood and pigment. It passes harmlessly through the skin and gently heats the vessel to destroy it.

The appearance of leg veins will either dramatically fade or completely disappear during the treatment. Some vessels may show temporary swelling that will subside after a few hours to a few days. The redness of the treated vessels will gradually disappear as the healing process occurs. This may take between two and eight weeks.

Most patients see excellent improvement after just two treatments. Everyone responds differently to treatments, with some needing only one treatment and others requiring a third treatment. You can optimize your results by closely following the post treatment instructions. The usual treatment interval is eight weeks.

Immediately following the procedure you may experience some redness in the treated area. The redness usually dissipates within one to three days. Also, although it is not the intended purpose of this particular treatment, hair growth may be impaired in the treated area.

Most treatments will take between 10-15 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. Laser treatments are typically done at four to eight week intervals. Several treatments may be required.

Pigmentation is skin discoloration, that appear as a blotchy, brownish pigmentation on the face and body. It is especially common in women aged 30 to 50.

Sun exposure is the major cause of pigmentation.  When exposure occurs following the use of deodorant soaps, scented toiletries, and various cosmetics, this can also produce more severe pigmentation. This is called a phototoxic reaction and is due to ultraviolet radiation being absorbed by the chemical substance (perfume, cologne and other types of fragrance) on the skin. This pigmentation often extends down to the sun-exposed areas of the neck and may be more pronounced on the right side of the forehead, face and neck due to sun exposure whilst driving a car. Repeated pregnancies can cause and intensify pigmentation

The laser emits light in very short bursts called pulses. The impact of the energy from the powerful pulse of light is similar to the snap of a thin rubberband.
If you have a low pain threshold, you can elect to use topical aesthetic cream, which greatly diminishes the potential for discomfort.  One common type of aesthetic cream is called EMLA. It is most effective when applied about 45 minutes prior to the procedure.

Treatments will result in improving the texture/tone of the skin and improvement of pigmented imperfections. Textural improvements are often accompanied by improvements in skin elasticity.

Complications are rare, although crusting of the treated pigment is to be expected. Skin lightening or darkening may occur, especially if tanned skin is exposed to laser. It is advisable to wear sunblock during the month before and after laser treatment.

At least 50% of all common pigmented lesions are removed with one treatment.  Whilst impressive results are obtained after a single session for darker pigmented lesions, additional sessions may be required. Lighter pigmented lesions may require multiple treatments.

Yes. Treated pigmented lesions should not re-appear. Laser treatments, however, do not prevent the formation of new lesions. Common pigmented lesions do not return. Some birthmarks may return after a period of several months to a year. However, the procedure can be repeated with similar results.

A shower can be taken the next day, but avoid scrubbing the treated area. Since most common pigmented lesions are caused by exposure to ultraviolet sun rays, it is imperative that you avoid prolonged sun exposure during the healing process. Results are seen within 2 to 30 days, depending on the lesion and exact type of laser use.

The laser is most commonly used for removing brown age spots, ‘ liver spots’, frecklesand many brown birthmarks. At your consultation we will identify your specific type of lesion and discuss the removal success rate associated with it.

The laser light was designed for its properties that selectively target dark concentrations of melanin.

Yes, you can re-apply make-up immediately after the procedure.

Yes. Treatments such as microdermabrasion are often performed in combination with the GentleYag

Due to the burst of cooling cryogen spray that precedes the pulse of the laser, the treatment is comfortable. For those who feel any discorfort, topical anesthetic can be utlized.

The GentleYag laser creates a beam of high intensity light that penetrates deeply into the skin where it causes a deep heating of tissues and contraction of the skin. The laser beam is preceded by a short burst of cooling cryogen spray which protects the outer skin and makes the treatment comfortable.

A treatment regimen usually consists of 4 - 6 monthly treatments. The exact protocol will be determined after a careful evaluation of your skin. The treatment takes approximately 30minutes to perform.

You may swell, look sunburnt, blister or scab after laser treatment. It is important not to pick at the skin or irritate the skin after treatment. Swelling and redness is common (but transient), and scabbing is not as common.

Do not use any alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or vitamin A derivatives (Refine, Define, Retin-A) for up to two weeks after the treatment, or until the skin has returned to normal.

Excessive sun exposure or solariums should be avoided for the duration of the treatments and until one month after treatments are finished. Daily sunscreen use is essential to prevent pigmentation problems (darkening of the skin) after laser and should be used daily. The daily use of sunscreen is important to prevent the recurrence of the problem treated by laser.

Aloe vera based gels can also be used to help soothe the skin after treatment. Seabuckthorn serum can also be used to help promote healing post treatment.

For facial treatments, it is important to cease the use of skin care containing alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) or vitamin A derivatives (Refine, Define, Retin-A) at least 3 days prior to treatment. You may be instructed to use creams to lighten your skin for up to one month prior to treatment. It is essential to use sunscreen on a daily basis prior to treatment with laser, and this is a habit that should persist indefinitely. You may also be instructed to take anti-viral tablets if you have a history of cold sores. Your treating doctor will prescribe you these tablets if necessary.

The skin may be mildly swollen and have a pink colour for a few hours after treatment. Makeup can be applied immediately. As with any laser treatment, sun tanning should be avoided before and after the treatment. No downtime is expected after the treatment. Side effects are uncommon, but include dark spots and light spots, which usually resolve.
